Heap to Play Sunday at Cleveland Despite Concussion

The Ravens can sleep a bit easier knowing that possibly their best pass catcher on the team will play Sunday, despite suffering from a concussion. Tight end Todd Heap is not expected to miss the game vs Cleveland, even though he suffered what the team is calling a “mild concussion” during Sunday’s win over the Ravens in Baltimore. Heap was hit on the helmet by Cardinals safety Adrian Wilson on the last series of the game. He left the field and did not return, but the Ravens won the game on the series anyway.

“He had a mild concussion, which means that it wasn’t you or I that had the concussion. That’s what mild means to me,” Ravens coach Brian Billick said. “It was more in terms of the neck and the stinger. I think Todd will be fine. We’ll see on Wednesday. He took a heck of a hit.” Heap had a solid game vs the Cardinals, catching 4 passes for 60 yards. Right now the only player that will miss the game for sure for the Ravens is DE Trevor Pryce with a broken wrist.
