McAlister Misses 2nd Practice; Hopes to Play Monday

Baltimore Ravens cornerback Chris McAlisterBaltimore Ravens cornerback Chris McAlister missed his second consecutive practice session with a strained knee, but held out hope that he would be able to play on Monday night, when the Ravens visit the Pittsburgh Steelers.  McAlister told Aaron Wilson of the Carroll County Times, “My knee feels great, every day it feels better than it did the [last] and that’s all I can ask for.  I knew I wouldn’t play against Buffalo, and coming back to Pittsburgh was always the plan.  It seems to be on pace.  I just take it day by day and see what happens.”

Ravens head coach Brian Billick is keeping tight-lipped about McAlister’s availability, emphasizing that the team isn’t obligated to submit an injury report until Thursday.  Assuming that McAlister is unavailable, then Corey Ivy would start in place of him.
