Tight End Endangered Species In Baltimore

While it is true that most teams tend to have a shortage at one position, usually the position in question is shored up fairly quickly.  Unfortunately for the Baltimore Ravens, it seems that tight end has been a position of need since …. forever.  They have almost no depth there and will more than likely pull out all the stops in at least having one healthy tight end for Week 17.

You have Todd Heap, who has been out for 9 of the past 10 games (hamstring); add reserves Daniel Wilcox (leg injury) and Quinn Sypniewski (concussion) to the walking wounded, all who remains is Lee Vickers – who is expected to start this Sunday.  Oddly enough, Vickers started the season on the Philadelphia Eagles’ practice squad as a defensive end.  It is entirely possible (I’d say closer to probable) that rookie tight end Jake Nordin could be brought up to the main roster for this week.
