Names Popping Up on the Ravens “Short List” for New Head Coach

Now that Brian Billick has officially been relieved of his duties as Ravens coach, who is on the list to possibly replace him? Well, names are already popping up, some that you knew would be on the list, and others that may be a bit of a surprise. One name is that of Iowa head coach Kirk Ferentz, who according to NFL Network’s Adam Schefter is one of the names on the Ravens “short list” despite the fact that Iowa went just 6-6 this past season. The name Bill Cowher of course is going to come up, but it appears that Cowher is enjoying his CBS gig and it would take an awful lot to pry him away. Another name that could be considered is 49’ers assistant coach Mike Singletary, who according to Schefter will get an interview for the top position with the Ravens.
