The Sun is reporting that the Ravens are bent on keeping linebacker Terrell Suggs, even if it means they have to franchise him. Jamison Hensley is reporting that the team is not going to let Suggs hit the open market, and instead will slap the tag on him before the free agency peroid starts at the end of the month. “We will be using the franchise tag on Terrell if we don’t have a long-term deal in place between now and then,” general manager Ozzie Newsome said Monday. Suggs was set to be one of the most high profile free agents on the market, with the Cardinals as one team that would have taken a hard look at him if he hit the market. This past season Suggs struggled, putting up just five sacks, a career-low.
