Pro Bowl ILB Bart Scott has become one of the more outspoken players in the league, and you can bet that will continue in 2008 as the big man looks for a big payday as he enters the final year of his contract. Today’s Baltimore Sun had a quote from D-coordinator Rex Ryan on Scott: “I think Bart is happy now. He wants to be here,” Ryan said. “This is a big year for him. He’s going to get paid one way or another.” Scott was undrafted, but in six years has shown what it takes to earn that big payday. He has played in all 16 games for the Ravens in all but one season, and has a career 354 tackles, 14.5 sacks and three interceptions. Last season he had 94 tackles, 1 sack and five passes defensed. Look for Scott and the Ravens do plenty of talking about getting him signed long-term before the 08 season kicks off.
