The Baltimore Ravens‘ top return specialist wants to do more than just return kicks; he also wants to secure a role as a wide receiver, as well. According to Aaron Wilson of the Carroll County Times, Yamon Figurs was informed that he would get an extended look at wideout during camp. Figurs has been putting in the extra work on the JUGGS machine to acclimate his hands to the rigors of catching passes. Last season, Figurs was the first player in Ravens history to score touchdowns on punt and kickoff returns; despite those heroics, he will face stiff competition for his job – his competition being Ray Rice, Tom Zbikowski and Haruki Nakamura, all drafted in this year’s NFL draft.
