McGahee to Undergo Arthroscopic Knee Surgery

Aaron Wilson, of the Carroll County Times, reports Ravens RB Willis McGahee (knee) will undergo arthroscopic knee surgery as soon as Monday, August 11th. The surgery is regarded as a clean-up medical procedure. McGahee could possibly return for the season-opener September 7th.

    Willis McGahee’s absence for the entire preseason games will mean extra work for Ravens’RB rookies Ray Rice and Allen Patrick possibly to the detriment of veteran RB Corey Ross. This should allow them to cement their status as #2 & #3 RBs respectively on the 53-man roster when Willis returns for their 2008 season-opener.
