McGahee Released from Hospital After Injury Sunday Night

Willis McGahee was released from Presbyterian Hospital today, this after last night’s jarring collision with Ryan Clark near the end of the loss to the Steelers in the AFC championship game. McGahee, who was immobilized and strapped to a stretcher after absorbing the hit from Clark, returned to Baltimore on Monday morning and is expected to make a full recovery.

“He is resting at his home today,” Ravens spokesman Kevin Byrne said in a statement. “It is expected that Willis will have a complete recovery from the head and neck injuries he suffered last night.” McGahee was injured in the latter stages of the Ravens’ 23-14 loss to Pittsburgh. He fumbled after a helmet-to-helmet hit from Clark and lay on the field for several minutes.
