Punter Koch Signs His $1.45 Million Dollar Tender

Adam Caplan of Scout.com is reporting that Ravens punter Sam Koch has signed his $1.545 million restricted free agent tender. The team assigned Koch a second-round tender so they would be able to get him back for the 2009 season. Last season Koch averaged a career-high 45.0 yards per punt. He downed 34 punts inside opponents’ 20-yard line, also recording nine touchbacks. According to NFL.com, Koch has compiled a 43.8 career punting average in three NFL seasons. Look for the Birds to continue to try and get him locked up long-term.
