Ravens Roster Cuts

The Ravens completed player cuts Saturday in order to obtain the 53 man roster requirement.

According to the Baltimoresun.com, the Ravens cut receivers Yoman Figurs, Jayson Foster, Ernie Wheelwright, rookie Eron Riley and Justin Harper. Two of this year’s draft selections fifth round tight end Davon Drew and sixth round running back Cedric Peerman were also released. Peerma n and Drew still may make the practice squad. Looking to add some depth to the offensive line, the Ravens traded cornerback/safety Derrick Martin to the Green Bay Packers for offensive lineman Tony Moll. The Ravens also released rookie kicker Graham Gano who competed with Steven Hauschka in training camp and the preseason.

Additional Released/Cut:
Offensive line: Joe Reitz , Stefan Rodgers, Tre Stallings , Bryan Mattison, Robby Felix,
Tight ends: Isaac Smolko
Fullback: Jason Cook

Linebacker: William VanDeSteeg, Tony Fein
Defensive tackle: Nadir Abdallah.
Cornerback: Evan Oglesby,
Safety: K.J. Gerard

Possible Signings:
Baltimoreravens.com and Onthefringe.nfl.com reports the Ravens are interested in signing wide receiver David Tyree who was released by the NY Giants. The Baltimoresun.com hints that the Ravens may be looking to add fullback Lorenzo Neal to the team.

    no real surprises on cut day figures and harper had played themselves off the team.only possibe loss is oglesby who should have been kept for frank walker.ravens probably will add anothe rwide reciever this week from soneones cuts but would be fifth reciever and not play muchderek martin had potential but agree needed depth on o line

      Truth is . . . Walker is the most aggressive and best tackling CB we have. He will do better with the 1st team (as nickel and backup CB) . . . sometimes we see a player get burnt but its b/c another player didn’t do his part. Now having say that . . . I like most fans dispise his attitude on the field – he needs to quit runnin’ his mouth and “Play like a Raven” !!
