The Baltimore Ravens’ linebacking corps took a major hit as it was learned that LB Brendon Ayanbadejo will be out for the remainder of the 2009 regular season due to a torn quadriceps tendon. The team placed Ayanbadejo in injured reserve on Tuesday; the 2008 Pro Bowler has already become proactive in reference to the injury as he will make a visit to Dr. James Andrews to undergo surgery onWednesday.
The Ravens were just as proctive in finding as replacement for Ayanbadejo as they signed Prescott Burgess from the New England Patriots’ practice squad Tuesday.
