Ravens Add CB Harris

The Ravens have reached agreement with veteran cornerback Walt Harris just a week after he turned down a one-year deal with the team.

Harris, 35, missed all off last season with a knee injury, but recently had a successful tryout at The Castle in Owings Mills. He will turn 36 during training camp.

Harris, has played for four different teams during his 13-year career, last with the San Francisco 49ers from 2006-08. He made the Pro Bowl in 2006. The 5-11, 196-pounder has seen action in 193 games (173 starts), producing 35 interceptions for 332 returns yards and four touchdowns

I thought it was odd that Harris had turned down the offer last week. It was not as if several teams were begging for the services of a 36-year old ball player.

Baltimore continues to add pieces to shore up potential cracks as they gear up for a third straight playoff run.
