Flacco Proved Plenty

Flacco Proved Plenty

Quarterback Joe Flacco proved plenty in the AFC Championship game. All the talk about him not able to get the job done should be thrown out and discarded. He made plays and threw the ball well –he led the offense. Flacco has had his share of inconsistencies, and he may have a few bad games now and then, but when it counted the most he carried the offense in the AFC Championship game.  Two years in a row now, in the playoffs, he has had a receiver fail to convert a reception in a crucial situation. Flacco has proven he can get it done.  He led the team on the road in Pittsburgh, this year and last year, with a winning last minute drive. Let’s see one of the top rated quarterbacks go into Pittsburgh, facing a tough defense, take the hits and still deliver.

Is Flacco going to put up gaudy numbers? Maybe not. One reason, the Ravens have one heck of a running game in Ray Rice. Joe Flacco showed heart, determination and skill in the AFC Championship game.

During Ray Lewis’ impassioned lockeroom speech after the loss to New England, he stated, “Joe, you played your ass off.”  Flacco’s proved plenty. –End of story.

Gene, well stated! We believe in you Joe! Plus, he did play his ass off!
Ray would never say something like that if he didn’t mean it!
I actually feel Joe elevated himself to another level, I mean if Evans held on to that ball for a split second longer…Flacco would have had even more praise!
