If Grubbs Departs Who Takes his Spot?

Philly's Evan Mathis could be an option to replace Grubbs

Several members of the Ravens staff have expressed that they are making a run to bring back Pro Bowl left guard Ben Grubbs. The initial meetings have been positive but both sides are nowhere close to a deal as of yet and I’m hearing rumblings today that Grubbs will probably test the free-agent market. If that is the case I think Grubbs is as good as gone from Charm city.

Grubbs and New Orleans Saints’ Carl Nicks are the top guards poised to hit the free-agent market and both should be very nice contracts especially from teams with plenty of Cap room.

So who replaces Grubbs if or when he leaves?

The Ravens may choose to go into the draft to find a Guard or there has been some talk about moving second-year Jah Reid to the spot. The team could also go into Free Agency to find a less expensive option. Here are a few possibilities.
