Suggs Likely Out for Season With Torn Achilles

The Loss of Suggs is Huge!

It’s being reported around the web this morning that the Ravens will likely be without the services of Terrell Suggs for the coming season.

Suggs suffered a tear of his Achilles tendon though how the injury occurred is still sketchy. ESPN and Adam Schefter are claiming that Suggs injured himself while playing basketball. While Aaron Wilson is reporting that Suggs did it while working out.

Supposedly Suggs is visiting a specialist this week for a conclusive diagnosis and potential rehabilitation schedule. Hopefully more details will come out in the news over the next few days.

Either way this is a huge blow to the Ravens for next season to be without the 2011 Defensive Player of the Year as they attempt to defend their AFC North title.

CRAP!!! We might as well give the division to the Steelers now

  2. This is a big loss. But right now we really don’t know that much about Suggs’ prognosis for the future. He has already Tweeted that he’ll be back by October. That could just be his opinion but at this stage no one knows.

I would never be willing to write off the division in May.

It is a set back, but remember it is early yet still. There might be some moves in free agency for the Ravens. teams have tobadapt and have with key losses. We need get all the medical information before we write anything off.
