Mason to Retire a Raven

D-Mase Will Forever be a Raven

Derrick Mason will officially announce his retirement at a ceremony with Baltimore on Monday that will include coach John Harbaugh and general manager Ozzie Newsome. In just six seasons, Mason became the all-time leader in yards (5,777) and receptions (471) in the Ravens’ short franchise history.

Even though many thought his career was over when he came to Baltimore in 2005 he posted four 1,000 yard seasons during his six-year stint with the Ravens.

He’ll be remembered for his toughness, his excellent hands, and his tendency to speak his mind.
