Pitta Out 4-6 Weeks; Possible Week One Return

Pitta Could Be Back to the Start the Season.

The bad news is confirmed; Dennis Pitta does have a broken bone in his right hand.

According to multiple news outlets, Pitta had surgery today and his recovery looks to be about 4 to 6 weeks which puts him on pace to return to action Week One against the Bengals.

Ed Dickson took all the snaps with the first-team offense on Tuesday, and Davon Drew moved into more of a prominent role as the No. 2. Rookie free agent tight ends Matt Balasavage and Bruce Figgins also got increased work.
