Power Rankings 2012 – Week Two

Power Rankings: Week Two

Welcome to the first power ranking for the NFL 2012-2013 Campaign. Upsets galore this week coupled by the worst officiating ever seen in any professional sport. Ever. As always if you think you can do better; leave your own rankings in the comments below.

1. San Francisco 49ers (2-0). Niners win again. Get used to hearing that.

2. Atlanta Falcons (2-0). The Falcons look scary good right now.

3. Houston Texans (2-0).  Texans continue to roll in week two.

4. San Diego Chargers (2-0). Another year with a cupcake schedule benefits the Chargers. Easy win over the Titans.

5. Philadelphia Eagles (2-0). In week one it takes a fluke from the Browns to squeak out the W, in week two it takes a whole plate load of help from the Scab Refs and terrible play calling from the Ravens. This is a very overrated team.

6. Arizona Cardinals (2-0). Kolb marches into Foxboro and does the impossible by silencing Tom Brady…

7. Green Bay Packers (1-1). Bounce back from a tough loss to absolutely murder the Bears.

8. New England Patriots (1-1).  Patriots fall to the Cardinals and the fair weather boo bird that populate Foxboro take to the airwaves to bitch and moan. As per usual.

9. Denver Broncos (1-1). The football Gods giveth and the Football Gods taketh away.

10. Baltimore Ravens (1-1). Poor play calling, erratic play from the QB and horrendous officiating doom the Ravens in Philly.

11. Pittsburgh Steelers (1-1). Bounce back win despite the best efforts of the Scab refs to ensure otherwise.

12. New York Giants (1-1). Hell of a come from behind win over a team they should have trounced.

13. Washington Redskins (1-1). Yes they lost, but RGIII looks like the real deal. Injuries are crippling this team but there’s real promise for a very bright future.

14. Dallas Cowboys (1-1). Man the Cowboys looked bad in Seattle.

15. Detroit Lions (1-1). Couldn’t get it done versus the steamrolling 49ers.

16. Chicago Bears (1-1). Bears fall back to earth behind crybaby Cutler.

17. Minnesota Vikings (1-1). Tough loss to the Colts. Enough said

18. New York Jets (1-1).  They held their own against Pittsburgh for as long as they could. It just wasn’t enough.

19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-1). Tough loss after spotting a huge lead over the Giants.

20. Cincinnati Bengals (1-1). Bengals got their act together and put a hurting on the Browns.

21. Seattle Seahawks (1-1).  The Seahawks just can’t seem to get out of their own way. Except when they are playing at home.

22. Carolina Panthers (1-1). Huge early lead helps to hold off the charging Saints.

23. St. Louis Rams (1-1). The Rams showed what a good coach can do for a mediocre team. The Skins gave it away in the end but the Rams showed grit in fighting back.

24. Buffalo Bills (1-1). Buffalo wills itself off the mattress to smoke the Chefs.

25. Miami Dolphins (1-1). As goes Reggie, so go the Dolphins. Monster game from the Running Back gives hope back to the Phinatics.

26. Indianapolis Colts (1-1).  A complete game from the Colts helps hold off the Vikings.

27. New Orleans Saints (0-2). With the Bounty-Gate players meeting with Goodell this week to learn their new fates, there is much hand wringing in New Orleans.

28. Cleveland Browns (0-2). Weedon looked great in his come from behind effort, and Trent Richardson was a revelation, but once again it was not enough to earn a W.

29. Tennessee Titans (0-2).  There’s a football team in Tennessee? Seriously?

30. Oakland Raiders (0-2). Whoa that was ugly.

31. Kansas City Chiefs (0-2). Another season, another struggle for the Chefs. YAWN.

32. Jacksonville Jaguars (0-2). Another step closer to being the London Jaguars.
