Halftime Instant Reaction: Patriots 20 – Ravens 14

Smith scores in the Second Quarter.

Gene Winner:

“A shaky start but nothing like a healthy  heavy dose of Ray Rice to change the momentum.  The defense is having some problems with Patriots fast pace no huddle. Upshaw is having a solid game.
This is what football must of been like when they wore leather helmets..the refs have no control of the game.”

Matt Jergensen:

“Ravens rebounded from a very rough First Quarter to briefly take the lead. Cameron has figured out that in order for play-action to work you need to establish the running game.

Baltimore has yet to figure out how to establish a consistent pass rush without Suggs. It was very evident on that last touchdown drive by Brady before  the half. Coach Pees will need to get creative.

The officials didn’t throw a flag until ten minutes into the game. Things have finally calmed down but way too much activity going on after the whistle.”

Ben Zinman:

“1st period 9 plays for 19 yards. The offense needs to find a spark. Isn’t it about time the Ravens stayed with Rice. No pass rush. The Ravens have issues on the defensive line. If the Ravens are going to win this game Joe will need to throw more touchdowns.”
