What is the toughest match up for Ravens Sunday?

What match-up will be the toughest challenge for the Ravens this Sunday against Pittsburgh?

We pose the question to our Gridiron staff:

Matt Jergensen:

“Joe Flacco vs. The Pittsburgh Defense. Flacco has been all-world at home and pedestrian on the road. Which player will show up at Heinz Field? He came up big last season to deliver a victory in front of the Steelers faithful. He needs to play well.”

Gene Winner:

Ray Rice, must get going this game.  That means the biggest match-up problem is the Steelers run defense versus the Ravens run blocking. The Ravens have to come out aggressive with the run like they have the last two games. In Cleveland we saw more outside running plays and keeping Pittsburgh’s front off balance will be key.

Jonathan Scruggs:

“The Ravens Secondary vs. The Steelers Receiving Corp. The steelers have greatly improved at Wide Receiver and Tight End, and could present a real challenge to this shake Ravens coverage unit, no matter who is under center.”

Ben Zinman:

“The Ravens offensive line vs the Steelers defensive line. Flacco needs to know how to handle significant pressure from good defenses. The Offensive line needs to demonstrate its ability to have success against defenses that bring pressure from different areas.”
