Ben Zinman:
Gene, you can’t see the game, but I certainly regret being able to watch another “anemic offensive performance”. Cam definitely deserves some of the blame for ineptness of this offense but Joe needs to also shoulder a large amount of the blame along with Harbaugh for retaining him again. It’s taken me some time but I finally have to admit Flacco has reached his ceiling. His inability to perform on the road means he will never be an elite quarterback.
P.S.: The defense continues to play well
Jonathan Scruggs:
Another road test, another sloppy inconsistent effort from the Baltimore Ravens. I have no idea why this team frustrates the Ravens so badly, but this has been hard to watch. Couple that with Dan Fouts’ insufferable homerism and some really suspect officiating and this is enough to make me want to booze heavily. I really don’t understand how this team can be so hot and cold from week to week. Poor players or poor coaches?
Matt Jergensen:
The offense has been bad for a multitude of reasons. Poor line play handling San Diego’s speed rushers. Joe Flacco missing open receivers. Open recievers dropping passes. Cam Cameron’s unimaginative schemes. It all adds up to zero points. On the bright side the defense continues to show improvement and a revitalized pass rush sacking Rivers three times in the half.
