Match-up Q of the week
Who has a tougher challenge this week, Ravens Offense or Defense?
Which unit do you see having to step up the most?
Matt Jergensen:
Defense: This is a very good question but it’s hard for me to not pick the unit that was unable to hold leads the last two games that ultimately lead to losses. That said the Ravens have been out-snapped 8 of the last 9 games and among the bottom of the league in time of possession. If the Offense can control the ball and sustain long drives you keep your defense and Peyton Manning on the sidelines.
Jonathan Scruggs:
Defense: There is legitimately no question that the bigger struggle will be the Ravens defense. Although the Broncos defense is quite good, and the Ravens Offensive line will be tested, the Defense has been decimated by injuries. That will not go well for this struggling unit.
Gene Winner:
Offense: Both units have a monumental task because Denver is strong on both sides of the ball. In this game though the offense has a tougher challenge. The reason is the offense must not only score points, but keep Peyton Manning on the sideline. In other words, the offense must have long sustained drives. We’ve seen Peyton Manning before and the Ravens defense has yet to figure a way to stop him. This match-up calls for the offense to take the lead.
Ben Zinman:
The offense: The Ravens need to execute when they are in red zone. The offense (JOE FLACCO) must play for the first time without a primary part that has been there from the beginning. The Ravens will utilize more hurry up, taking advantage of the home crowd. They must execute their red zone more efficiently.
