Injury update: Top pass catchers won’t play

Those fans who were hoping to see tight end Dennis Pitta make his 2013 debut will have to wait at least a couple more days as Pitta has been ruled out for tomorrow’s game. The Ravens had until 4 PM today to activate Pitta from the injured reserve with designation to return, but the team elected to hold him out for now. It is possible, though, that we could see Pitta play Thanksgiving night against the Steelers.

As for the Jets, they have ruled out wide receiver Jeremy Kerley for tomorrow. Kerley, a good slot receiver, is one of Geno Smith’s favorite targets, but won’t be able to play due to an elbow injury. That makes an already thin Jets receiving corps even weaker.
