Tuesday’s news

  • The Ravens have placed wide receiver Brandon Stokley on injured reserve, as the receiver has been dealing with concussion problems this past week. In a corresponding move, the Ravens have re-signed running back Bernard Scott to the active roster after releasing him last week to make room for tight end Dennis Pitta.
  • The Ravens week 16 matchup against the Patriots has been flexed out of the 8:20 ET kickoff time and moved to 4:25 ET. This is somewhat of a surprise given the history of these two teams. They have met in three of the past 4 years in the playoffs, and had a close regular season battle last year that ended 31-30. The league has decided to flex the Bears-Eagles game to the Sunday Night Football slot.
  • There have been recent reports stating that the Steelers will most likely be facing a draft pick penalty after the Mike Tomlin incident, regardless of what happens during the rest of the season. It is unknown whether they will lose a draft pick or compensatory pick, or if one of their picks will be re-ordered.
