Three match ups to watch against the Lions

1. Bush vs. Ravens LBs- Lions running back Reggie Bush is one of the most explosive playmakers in all of football. He is an effective runner, a great pass catcher, and a dangerous returner. The Ravens linebackers are going to have to keep Bush in front of him because he will beat everyone on the field in a foot race. Ravens linebackers Daryl Smith, Arthur Brown, and Jameel McClain will most likely be matched up with Bush, so they are going to have to find a way to slow him down and not allow him to get into the open field, where he is the most dangerous. Advantage: Lions

2. Suh and Fairley vs. Gradkowski, Yanda, and Shipley- As previously mentioned, Lions defensive tackles Ndamukong Suh and Nick Fairley are two of the best in the business. They are the type of game changers that Haloti Ngata is. The Ravens interior lineman, especially center Gino Gradkowski, have struggled to keep a clean pocket for Joe Flacco, as well as open up holes for running backs Ray Rice and Bernard Pierce. It looks like it will be another game of watching Joe Flacco run around in the backfield and do his signature twirl, while looking for an open receiver and trying to avoid the pass rush. Advantage: Lions

3. Torrey Smith vs. Chris Houston/ Rasean Mathis- Torrey Smith hasn’t been putting up the same numbers he did earlier in the season, but given his deep threat ability, he always has the chance to have a big game. The Lions have the 25th ranked pass defense in the NFL, and neither Houston or Mathis is considered a top cornerback in this league. Given that, and the chance to play in a dome bodes well for Smith. He should be able to return to his big numbers this Monday night against the Lions. Advantage: Ravens
