Ravens Beat Rams 16-13; Lose Both Flacco and Forsett for Season with Injuries

The Ravens may have won the battle Sunday, but clearly lost the war when it came to two of their biggest players being gone for the final six games of 2015.

Baltimore rallied to top the Rams 16-13 on the final play when Justin Tucker was true from 47 yards, but lost quarterback Joe Flacco with a torn ACL.

The quarterback played the entire game, limping on the final plays. He tore the ACL on the final drive when his leg was rolled into by a Rams defender.

“It was a courageous effort by Joe at the end,” coach John Harbaugh said.

While losing Flacco is huge, it wasn’t the only injury the team suffered, as running back Justin Forsett left with a broken right arm in the first quarter after a tackle by Aaron Donald.

Forsett will also miss the final six games of the now 3-7 season for the Ravens.

The game was basically gift-wrapped for the Ravens after they rallied from down 10 in the final quarter.

They got the win after Rams quarterback Case Keenum fumbled when hit by Courtney Upshaw, and Ravens teammate Lawrence Guy recovered at the St. Louis 41 with 54 seconds to go.

The team moved into position for Tucker, who nailed the field goal on the last play for the bittersweet win. Oddly enough Tucker missed two field goals earlier in the game.

The Ravens really won in spite of themselves, as they turned the ball over twice, and were penalized 10 times for 137 yards.

The Ravens trailed 13-3 before coming back behind Flacco, who went 27 for 44 for 299 yards and a score in what will be his final game of 2015.

Matt Schaub, who was with the Raiders last season, will be the new starter next week when the Ravens travel to Cleveland to take on the Browns on Monday night football.
