Ravens Fall to 4-8 Following Tough 15-13 Loss to Dolphins in Miami

In a season that has been frustrating on so many levels, it got even worse Sunday in Miami, as the Ravens dropped to 4-8 with a 15-13 loss to the Dolphins.

Matt Schaub threw a pair of picks 20 seconds apart to help Miami score two touchdowns to seal their fate. Schaub was 32-for-46 for 308 yards with a score and two bad picks.

The setback stunk as the Ravens outgained the Dolphins 375 to 219 yards, and had the time of possession 38:09 to 21:51.

It didn’t matter, as no matter how many times the Ravens were able to get into Dolphins territory, they were not able to take advantage of it.

Miami mounted a goal-line stand in the second quarter, and repeatedly turned away the Ravens down the stretch. Olivier Vernon totaled 2 1/2 sacks, one on third down with the Ravens nearing field goal range and five minutes left.

Baltimore recovered a fumble to get the ball back, but failed to pick up a first down, and Justin Tucker was wide right on a 55-yard field goal try with 2:42 to go. Tucker is the second-most accurate kicker in NFL history.

One of the bright spots was Javorius Allen, who ran for 107 yards and had 63 yards though the air in the loss.
